Brian the I N UK and MTL Volunteer of the Year
I met Kate on my very first working day for Infertility
Network UK when myself, Philipa Coughlan, Kate and her
lovely daughter Flora all traveled up to Liverpool together
for the launch of Infertility Network UK at the BFS
Meeting. I was right in at the deep end, but in the
friendly, welcoming company of Kate and my other companions,
I felt totally at ease and remember thinking that if
the rest of the team were as nice, I’d made the
right choice in joining the charity! |

Since that first day, my colleagues and I have worked with
Kate on many occasions. She works tirelessly for the cause
and in my experience never says “no” when asked
yet again if she could undertake a project for I N UK. She’s
always ready and willing to speak to the media, attend meetings,
write articles for our publications and has yet to turn down
the umpteenth request from me to do a book review which she
always produces on time without any nagging from me!!
Kate is also an extremely active member of the I N UK Board
of Trustees offering both her personal and professional experience
along with her understanding of infertility which is invaluable.
She’s a kind and lovely person to work with and I N
UK are very lucky to have her help and support.
I’d like you all to join me and everyone at the charity
in thanking Kate so very much for everything she has done
and is yet to do(!) and to present her with this much deserved
award!
